Although you can travel from Athens to Delphi by public transportation, the  idea of  hiring a taxi makes the trip of  3,5  hours  much more comfortable.

From Athens by public transportation

Bus Terminal B  ( Liosion str. 260) handles the trip to Delphi. It is about 5 kilometers north of Plateia Omonias, reachable  by city bus number 024 from the main gate of the National Gardens. If you like  to go on Ktel Station directly from the airport, use the  bus X93 . From Olympia by public transportation

First you need to travel to Pyrgos. This trip takes about 35 min.

From Pyrgos you have two options:

1. To take the bus which travels to north Greece ( Thessaloniki)

Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday    08.45΄   -   Friday    15.00΄          Saturday - Sunday      08.45΄

                                    You travel until Itea, where you take a local bus to Delphi.

2. To take the bus from Pyrgos until Patras. There, you need to find the  bus station  (Gerokosta and  Othonos Amalias str.) which goes straight  to the city of  Delphi.
